3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and verify your email address.
- To process enrolments, subscription plans, payments, receipts and refunds.
- To conduct online examinations, prevent malpractice, calculate results and issue verifiable digital certificates.
- To respond to admission enquiries and connect you with our counsellors.
- To send service messages such as verification emails, receipts, exam reminders, plan expiry reminders and replies to your tickets.
- To send offers or updates, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
- To keep the platform secure, comply with law and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We process your data on the basis of your consent and for the legitimate purposes of providing the services you request. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us; this will not affect processing already carried out, but we may be unable to continue some services (for example, issuing certificates) without the required data.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the platform — payment processing (Razorpay), email delivery and hosting — under confidentiality obligations and only for that purpose.
- With colleges or institutions, only when you submit an admission enquiry or application and ask us to help you with that institution.
- For certificate verification: anyone with your certificate number or verification ID can see your name, the certification, and the certificate dates and status.
- When required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect forms against misuse and remember your preferences. If analytics is enabled, it helps us understand how visitors use the website in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the website (such as login and exams) will not work without essential cookies.
7. Data retention
We keep your account information while your account is active. Certificate and examination records are kept for as long as needed to verify certificates you have earned. Payment and invoice records are kept for the period required under tax and accounting laws. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, access controls for staff, activity logs and secure payment processing. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please keep your password confidential and inform us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
9. Your rights
You may request to access, correct or update your personal data, withdraw consent, or request deletion of your account (subject to records we must keep by law, such as payment records and issued certificates). You can update most details from your profile, or email info.datasquare@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law.
10. Children
Our services are intended for users aged 18 and above. Users below 18 years may use the services only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the account.
