Analyse data and communicate insights using Python and statistics.
A self-paced virtual internship in Power BI and business intelligence covering data preparation with Power Query, data modelling, DAX measures and interactive report design, ending with a capstone dashboard project.
The Power BI & Business Intelligence Internship is a self-paced virtual internship for learners who want practical, structured experience in turning raw business data into clear, decision-ready reports. You will work through four modules that follow the same path a BI analyst takes on a real reporting task: understanding the business question, preparing the data, building a reliable model and presenting the results.
Each module combines concise study notes with worked examples so you can practise in Power BI Desktop at your own pace. You will learn how to clean and shape data in Power Query, design star-schema data models with correct relationships, write DAX measures for common business calculations such as year-to-date totals and percentage of total, and build interactive report pages that use filters, slicers and drill-through effectively.
Progress is measured through a timed online multiple-choice exam at the end of every module. After completing all four modules you will work on a capstone project brief that asks you to build a complete sales performance dashboard. Learners who meet the exam criteria receive a QR-verifiable internship certificate showing the internship period, and the capstone gives you a portfolio piece you can show to others.
This internship suits learners who are comfortable with basic spreadsheets and want to build structured skills in business reporting and analytics.
Course duration: 3 months – 6 months · 60 hours of learning
Modules unlock one after another. Pass each module exam to open the next.
Understand what business intelligence is, how KPIs support decisions and how the Power BI tools fit together. You will also get familiar with the Power BI Desktop interface.
Outcomes: Describe the BI workflow from source to report; Distinguish good KPIs from vanity metrics; Navigate the main views of Power BI Desktop
Learn to import, clean and reshape data using Power Query so that it is ready for modelling. Each transformation is recorded as a repeatable step.
Outcomes: Connect to files and folders as data sources; Clean and reshape data with applied steps; Combine tables with merge and append
Build efficient star-schema data models and write DAX measures for common business calculations. You will learn how filter context drives every result.
Outcomes: Design a star schema with fact and dimension tables; Configure relationships, cardinality and filter direction; Write measures using CALCULATE and time intelligence
Design clear, interactive reports, prepare them for sharing and apply everything you have learned in a capstone sales dashboard project.
Outcomes: Choose suitable visuals for each type of comparison; Add interactivity with slicers, drill-through and bookmarks; Publish reports and plan secure sharing

Take the module exams in order — pass one to unlock the next. 2 attempts per module.
Reach a 70% average across all modules to unlock your verifiable e-Certificate.
Four module exams of 10 multiple-choice questions each (15 minutes per module). Pass each module with 60% and reach a 70% overall average to earn your internship certificate.
| Module exams | 4, taken in order (each module unlocks after the previous one is passed) |
|---|---|
| Questions per module | 10 multiple-choice |
| Pass mark per module | 60% (unless stated on the module) |
| Needed for the e-Certificate | All modules passed and an average of 70% or more (best score of each module, weighted by marks) |
| Attempts | 2 free attempts per module; an extra attempt costs ₹199 |
| Completion deadline | All module exams must be completed within your course duration (extension of 30 days available for ₹299) |
| Certificate release | On the end date of your course, after all requirements are met |
| Grading | Automatic, immediately after submission |
On completion you receive a QR-verifiable digital internship certificate showing your name, the program, your internship period and learning hours. Anyone can verify it online using the certificate number.

This is a self-paced virtual internship. There are no fixed class timings: you study the modules online, practise in Power BI Desktop on your own computer and take each module exam when you feel ready.
The capstone asks you to build a sales performance dashboard from a sample retail dataset, covering data preparation, a star-schema model, core DAX measures and a two-page interactive report. It is designed to be a portfolio piece that demonstrates the full BI workflow you learned.
On meeting the exam criteria you receive a digital internship certificate that shows your name, the program name and the internship period. Each certificate carries a QR code that anyone can scan to verify it on the DataSquare Solutions website. The internship does not include placement or job guarantees.
The program has about 60 hours of learning content. Because it is self-paced, most learners finish in four to eight weeks depending on how much time they spend each week, and the certificate shows your actual internship period.
You should be comfortable with Excel basics such as formulas, filtering and pivot tables. No prior Power BI or programming experience is required, but you need a Windows computer to install Power BI Desktop.
Each module has a timed online multiple-choice exam with instant results. You get two free attempts per module, and extra attempts can be purchased if you need them.
After passing every module with at least 60% and reaching a 70% overall average, you receive a digital internship certificate showing the internship period. It has a QR code that can be scanned to verify it online.
The capstone brief in Module 4 asks you to build a two-page sales performance dashboard from a sample dataset, using Power Query, a star-schema model and DAX measures. You complete it independently as a portfolio piece.
