Machine Learning
Train, evaluate and improve machine learning models.
A self-paced virtual internship covering the foundations of machine learning with Python. Prepare data, train and evaluate models, pass online module exams, complete a capstone project and earn a QR-verifiable certificate.
The Machine Learning Foundations Internship is a self-paced virtual internship for learners who know basic Python and want a solid, practical understanding of how machine learning models are built and evaluated. The focus is on the core ideas that every later topic, from deep learning to data science projects, depends on.
The programme follows the real workflow of an ML project across four modules. You begin by preparing and exploring data with NumPy and pandas, move on to supervised learning for regression and classification, learn how to evaluate and improve models honestly, and finish with unsupervised learning and reusable pipelines in scikit-learn. Each module has structured study notes and a timed online multiple-choice exam.
The final module includes a capstone project brief in which you complete an end-to-end machine learning project on a public dataset. The finished notebook and report give you practical work for your portfolio, and on meeting the exam requirements you receive a QR-verifiable internship certificate that records your internship period.
This internship suits learners who can write simple Python programs and want to begin working with machine learning.
Course duration: 3 months – 6 months · 60 hours of learning
Modules unlock one after another. Pass each module exam to open the next.
Understand what machine learning is and prepare data so models can learn from it. You will use NumPy and pandas to clean, explore and transform datasets.
Outcomes: Explain features, labels and types of machine learning; Clean and explore data with pandas; Encode, scale and split data for modelling
Learn the main supervised learning algorithms and how to train them in scikit-learn. You will compare linear models, k-nearest neighbours, decision trees and random forests.
Outcomes: Identify regression and classification problems; Train and predict with scikit-learn models; Interpret linear model coefficients and loss
Measure model performance with the right metrics and improve models without fooling yourself. You will study classification and regression metrics, cross-validation, overfitting and tuning.
Outcomes: Calculate accuracy, precision, recall and F1 score; Use cross-validation to compare models reliably; Diagnose and fix overfitting and underfitting
Find structure in unlabelled data and package your work into reusable pipelines. The module ends with the capstone brief for an end-to-end machine learning project.
Outcomes: Apply k-means clustering and PCA; Build a scikit-learn pipeline and save a model; Follow responsible ML practices in a project

Take the module exams in order — pass one to unlock the next. 2 attempts per module.
Reach a 70% average across all modules to unlock your verifiable e-Certificate.
Four module exams of 10 multiple-choice questions each (15 minutes per module). Pass each module with 60% and reach a 70% overall average to earn your internship certificate.
| Module exams | 4, taken in order (each module unlocks after the previous one is passed) |
|---|---|
| Questions per module | 10 multiple-choice |
| Pass mark per module | 60% (unless stated on the module) |
| Needed for the e-Certificate | All modules passed and an average of 70% or more (best score of each module, weighted by marks) |
| Attempts | 2 free attempts per module; an extra attempt costs ₹199 |
| Completion deadline | All module exams must be completed within your course duration (extension of 30 days available for ₹299) |
| Certificate release | On the end date of your course, after all requirements are met |
| Grading | Automatic, immediately after submission |
On completion you receive a QR-verifiable digital internship certificate showing your name, the program, your internship period and learning hours. Anyone can verify it online using the certificate number.

This is a self-paced virtual internship. You study each module's material on your own schedule and practise the examples in your own Python environment. There are no live classes, assigned mentors or placement commitments.
Module 4 contains a brief for an end-to-end classification project on a public dataset, covering exploration, preprocessing, model comparison, evaluation and a written summary. You complete it independently and can publish it on GitHub as part of your portfolio.
After passing all module exams with the required scores, you receive a digital internship certificate with a unique QR code. Scanning the code confirms your name, the programme and your internship period.
The programme is designed for about 60 hours of study. Because it is self-paced, you can finish sooner or spread it across several weeks, and your certificate shows your actual internship period.
You should be comfortable with basic Python, such as variables, lists, loops and functions, and school-level mathematics. The modules explain the required statistics and ML concepts as they are introduced.
You get 2 free attempts for each module exam. If you need more, additional attempts can be purchased from your dashboard.
Each certificate includes a unique QR code. Scanning it opens a verification page confirming your name, the programme and your internship period.
You can choose any suitable public dataset, for example from the UCI Machine Learning Repository or Kaggle, as long as it has a clear target column for classification. The brief in Module 4 lists the steps and deliverables.
